Happy New Year! Ogden is a great place to be this time of year. There are so many wonderful family friendly events in Ogden this January. From distillery tours to the Hairy Horse Show, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this month in Ogden.

Distillery Tours and Tastings
When: Fridays and Saturdays

Join a public tour and tasting at the distillery.  Every Friday and Saturday at noon, 2:00 and 5:00pm, unless cancelled for a scheduling conflict (click to view schedule below).  Space is limited, so schedule early.  $15 and includes three half-ounce tastings.

Also, during the ski season (January to March), we offer a mid-week tour the first and third Wednesday of the month!  Come for a tour straight from the resort.

UT Gun Collectors Show & Sale
When: January 6th, 2018
Where: Golden Spike Event Center

This annual show features a wide variety of Firearms, Ammunition, and information about Firearms down through History. Many displays, period costumed participants, and information is available to the public. Guns, ammo, and accessories are available for purchase.

Family Art: Winter Wonderland
When: January 8th, 2018
Where: Eccles Community Art Center

Join us to create winter family arts and craft project at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. Suggested family donation: $3. The class is recommended for children ages 4 to 8 years old with accompanying adult. Pre-registration is a must and may be accomplished on-line at www.ogden4arts.org.

2018 Sneddon HOF Germanfest
When: January 19th, 2018
Where: Golden Spike Event Center

This year we will be celebrating the 32nd Anniversary of the Sneddon HOF Germanfest!
Gruber Family Band, Jaegerswald Musikanten, Salzburger Echo and Park City Polka Players will perform on a professional stage.
The festival also features authentic German food by Siegfried’s Sausages, Vossen’s Paradise Bakery, and Nutcracker Sweets are other tasty reasons to attend this annual festival.
Great authentic craft booths by local and out-of-state vendors decorate the festival and offer their wares. The Weber State University Institute Alumni Folk Dancers and yodeling lessons will entertain festival goers and the young at heart can dance to waltzes, polkas, and the “chicken dance”.

Hairy Horse Show
When: January 20th, 2018
Where: Golden Spike Event Center

A Family Open Horse Show for everyone age groups from under 9 to Adults. Classes include Halter, Pleasure, Snaffle Bit, Reining, Barrels, Poles, and Keyhole. Sign ups 7:30am-9am Show starts at 9am. For more information contact Kari Byington @ 801-750-0999.
