EVENTS IN AND AROUND OGDEN THIS JANUARY

The new year is here and that means it’s a great time to enjoy all the events in and around Ogden this January. There are so many fun and interesting things going on this month in the Ogden area. From the Hairy Horse Show, to the Jordan World Circus, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this month. Now that the holidays are over, take a little time and relax at one of these family friendly events in and around Ogden this January.

EVENTS IN AND AROUND OGDEN THIS JANUARY

Wasatch Audubon – Christmas Bird Count

When: January 1, 2017, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: Antelope Island State Park
Antelope Island Christmas Bird Count

Meet at the parking lot outside Antelope Island State Park entrance kiosk at 8:00 am. It is an all day trip. Bring water and lunch. Walkie talkies on frequency 11-22 will be used to communicate between cars. This is a fee area.

Ease-y Meditation
When: January 5^th, 2017
Where: Eccles Community Art Center
2580 Jefferson Avenue
Ogden, UT

Ease-y Meditation will be held at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden on Thursday evenings January 5 through March 30, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. Supervisors: Linda and David Wisekopf will provide basic instruction in the practice of meditation. Utah Gun Collectors Show & Sale
When: January 7, 2017 | 9am – 5pm
Where: Golden Spike Event Center

This annual show features a wide variety of Firearms, Ammunition, and information about Firearms down through History. Many displays, period costumed participants, and information is available to the public. Guns, ammo, and accessories are available for purchase.

RMPRA Rodeo
When: January 13, 2017, 7:30 – 10pm
Where: Golden Spike Arena

Rocky Mountain Professional Rodeo Association Winter Rodeo Series, Performances each night begin at 7:30 pm. Slack at 8am Saturday. Doors open 1 hour prior to each performance. General Admission Adults $10, Children ages 3-11 $5

Jordan World Circus 2017
When: January 27^th, 2017
Where: Golden Spike Event Center
1000 North 1200 West, Ogden, UT 84404

With three rings of affordable family fun, “The Jordan World Circus” will thrill fans of all ages. Come see the death-defying aerial acts, animal attractions including tigers and elephants. In addition to the performing acts, kids will have the unique opportunity to ride and pet different types of animals.

Hairy Horse Show
When: January 28^th, 2017
Where: Golden Spike Event Center

A Family Open Horse Show for everyone age groups from under 9 to Adults. Classes include Halter, Pleasure, Snaffle Bit, Reining, Barrels, Poles, and Keyhole. Sign ups 7:30am-9am Show starts at 9am. For more information contact Kari Byington @ 801-750-0999.
