Nilson Homes 2021 Holiday Fundraiser supports a local youth’s dream trip to Harry Potter World in Orlando, Florida.

Ogden, UT- December 24th, 2021

Nilson was honored to be a small part of helping a young local youth realize his life-long dream trip to visit Harry Potter World with his family in Orlando, Florida.  

Jordan Ricks was diagnosed this past summer with Glioblastoma, an aggressive type of cancer that can occur in the brain or spinal cord.  He has been undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatments ever since.  


His parents, Barry and Trina, tell us that Jordan is an avid Harry Potter fan who also enjoys playing video games with his siblings and friends.  Nilson Homes employees raised $7230.00 for the holiday fundraiser and Nilson Homes CEO and owner Jed Nilson agreed to match every dollar raised.  Jed added, “My heart fills with pride when I see my Nilson Homes family step up to a challenge and support such a worthy cause.  

Jordan is a courageous young man and I thank him and his family for giving us this opportunity to help.  When I think of the holiday season, I think about family.  There is not greater holiday gift than to see families supporting one another to bring in some holiday cheer.  We are Nilson Homes, and we are dedicated to building community.”
