EVENTS IN OGDEN THIS FEBRUARY

There are many great events taking place in Ogden and other areas of Utah this February. Whether you’re looking for home improvement inspiration or are looking for something a little more relaxing there’s something for everyone this February in and around Ogden, Utah.

15th Statewide Black and White Competition
When: February 3rd – March 19th
Where: Eccles Community Art Center

The Eccles Community Art Center, a Victorian sandstone mansion, exhibits work of local, regional, and nationally renown artists. The mansion houses the offices of the art center, the Junior League, Weber Arts and Rotary. Other buildings in the complex hold studios for the arts and dance classes sponsored by the center, which are open to the public. An excellent sales/gift gallery, which represents over sixty local Northern Utah artists, is found in the carriage house. Colorful gardens with a growing collection of sculpture complete the center. Gallery/office Hours: Weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Junior Storytime
When: February 3rd | 10am
Where: Brigham City Public Library

Registration for this event will begin Monday, January 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. For children ages 2-3 years old and a parent or caregiver. This class will be held on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. The session will run 6 weeks. Classes have a suggested donation of $1.00 per student, which you will need to bring into the library, with proof of registration, during the week before classes begin. Jr. Story Time will include stories, games, activities, lap bounces,fingerplays, songs and a craft. An adult must attend with their child. Classes will last approximately 45-50 minutes. Siblings are welcome to attend but if you would like them to complete a craft project, they must be registered for the class. To make the most of this experience with your toddler, it is suggested that you make other arrangements for babies and siblings. You do not need a library card to attend.
