These homes are designed with affordability in mind, offering an opportunity for first-time buyers, young families, and individuals to stay in the communities that they love without compromising on quality. Our goal is to provide a path to homeownership that supports the economic well-being of our families while strengthening the fabric of our local neighborhoods.
Who Can Buy Starter Homes
Our starter homes are designed to create real opportunities for homeownership, with a specific focus on those who serve and strengthen our communities.
To support this mission, each home begins with a 14-day Priority Access period. During this time, purchase opportunities are reserved exclusively for:
- First-time homebuyers
- Active military members
- Teachers
- First responders (including EMS personnel)
After the 14-day period, any remaining homes are released for purchase to the general public.
This approach ensures these homes are first made available to those who are often most impacted by rising housing costs, while still maintaining broad access over time.In addition, all starter homes are deed-restricted to owner-occupants for the first 10 years. Homes cannot be used as rental properties during this period. Owners may sell at any time, but the new buyer must continue to meet the owner-occupancy requirement for the remainder of the 10-year term.
By combining Priority Access with long-term occupancy requirements, we’re working to create stable neighborhoods and expand access to homeownership where it’s needed most.
