    Anyone can buy a starter home, but there are important guidelines in place to ensure these homes remain accessible to those who truly need them. Our starter homes are deed-restricted and must be owner-occupied for the first 10 years, meaning they cannot be used as rental properties during that time. While owners are free to sell their homes at any time, the new buyer must also adhere to the owner-occupancy requirement for the remainder of the 10-year period.

    To further support our community, we’ve created a priority access period for first-time homebuyers, teachers, and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel. This gives these vital members of our community the first opportunity to purchase these homes before they are made available to the general public. We believe this approach will help create stability and long-term investment in our neighborhoods, ensuring that those who serve and sustain our communities have access to affordable housing options.
